This has been an occasional blog about Second Amendment issues. Until now, however, I never owned a firearm. Now I do. Big changes are in the air for those who value their Constitutional rights, and those changes do not appear to be positive ones.
And in case you were wondering when the Democrats would re-instate the "assault" weapons ban, you don't have to wait! The REPUBLICANS have introduced legislation to do just that: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h110-6257. Plaintiff Heller Files New Lawsuit
The D.C. government is playing games, trying to get around the latest decision by the Supreme Court. Dick Heller has responded by filing a new lawsuit:
The suit asks the court to issue injunctions that would (a) allow semiautomatic weapons that hold fewer than 12 rounds, (b) order the District to register handguns without a ballistics test, and (c) order the District not to enforce the “reasonably perceived threat” part of the handgun law. wound or stab wound was the fatal injury.
